mcu8051ide software package provides Graphical Integrated Development Environment for 8051, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install mcu8051ide
mcu8051ide is installed in your system.
Make ensure the mcu8051ide package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep mcu8051ide *
You will get with mcu8051ide package name, version, architecture and description in a table
